Fantastic photo of a very chuffed Dr Paul Conaghan - Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the birth of baby Alec, who was clearly impressed to enter the world!

Thanks to Sherry and Corey for sharing this golden moment πŸ’›

Health Alert – Queensland Health has posted about the recent impact of smoke from bushfires affecting air quality in Brisbane and surrounding areas.

As per Queensland Health guidelines, Hatch Private Maternity advises our patients to limit time spent outdoors where possible if smoke or dust is in the air. If you suffer any respiratory symptoms please seek advice from your GP.

Our thoughts are with those affected by these fires and emergency services working hard to keep everyone safe.

Let’s get real... 10-16th November is #PANDAWeek and a time to raise awareness for Perinatal Anxiety and Depression.

Postnatal depression affects 1:6 in Australia and 1:5 will experience antenatal anxiety.

Many people find pregnancy or having a baby more challenging than they anticipated. For some, the challenges become overwhelming and they lose the joy of parenthood.

When this occurs, it is important to be brave and take the first step to seek help. It's ok, start with us at Hatch or your GP.

Please Note: PANDA has a helpline which can guide you on 1300 726 306 and is open Mon-Fri, 9am to 7.30pm AEST. Alternatively, you can visit: www.panda.org.au
